I think India Today has a hand in it. From time to time it will continue to send this kind of email. It will include book club membership, Reader's digest subscription, and sweepstakes. What finally special they are doing is - they are selling products in name of lottery/sweepstakes. They may even tell you if you buy this amount of product then you will go into this category of sweepstakes. Sometimes they will also tell you that you will win a assured gift worth this much amount. They will ask you to pay the money online through VPN and they will send the product also but they will not give you lottery amount. When you will try to contact them , they will respond in usual style. The style scam-ster follow. They will redirect you to this and that branch. If you contact Reader's digest, USA then they will tell you contact India office. They are selling products and possibly saving taxes or something. Products purchased will not have any price gain. If you count all the products value then you will find that they are all of same value in market.
