Homeopathy is a Quackery

Dec 22, 2018

Recently, I was active on several occasions for collecting public view on Homeopathy and its practitioners. I want to see what is public opinion about Homeopathy. My experience about Homeopathy says that it does not work.

Here is a Poll I have conducted on Facebook on a page I am an Admin of.

In India, Homeopathy is still practiced widely by trained or untrained practitioners. Bad condition of Govt hospitals also contribute to Homeopathy practices. People do not have much options. Many times, untrained practitioners charge very less and this help them in affordability.
Quackery works because many times our own system cure itself. Also, many diseases are cyclic. Means, you feel better in between without that is even cured. It can progress within you but time to time, you may feel better. So, when you visit those thugs and your disease are automatically on downward that time then you feel better next day. Then we think that medicine is working. In the name of long term cure, we continue visiting. If we get cured by our own system then we think Homeopathic doctor has given you medicine and his teaching that in long term you will be cured proved correct.

In most of the developed countries, Homeopathy is removed from a formal medicine. It is advised from govt of their countries that parents should not visit these doctors. or at least do not stop modern medicine.

Modern medicine still do not have solution to all problems. Disease which comes after long time misuse directly or indirectly do not have proper solutions in Allopathy. This makes gap where people feel that these alternative medicine can fill. Many countries had removed Homeopathy even from alternative medicines.

I am not a doctor. Homeopathy does not work and this I can say from personal experience. I have visited many times from childhood to adulthood and thereafter. I have tried to understand it from different people's perspective and organizations who can comment on this scientifically.  So, in the poll, you can find Wikipedia like where multiple thought on it written.

Here, in this article on Homeopathy, it has mentioned what renowned organizations around world has to say about Homeopathy:

The debate about homeopathy is over. These verdicts prove it.

Remember, Homeopathy is not an India's ancient medicinal system. So, other countries cannot have any intention of belittling it due to developing countries method.

Here are my tweets about Homeopathy, where I have tried to raise this issue to public and also tried to bring this to notice to Ayush department also. Govt of India supports Homeopathy as alternative medicine. Govt of India should re-look into it and see if India really want to push this medicine.

Few of my recent tweets about Homeopathy are here:

Do not eat medicine because there is no harm but eat because there is solution of any problem or prevention of any possible problem! If I give you water then there is no harm but do you like to buy water from me for any illness? Water cannot harm you!

Homeopathy is a quackery. Agree?
What is your take on it? Don't you want to see this practice stop in India?

Write your idea of Homeopathy on Twitter in your reply to tweets I have written.
