I have found few very useful articles relating to twitter usage. Those tips are for everyone and not only for marketing person. Learning those is not very difficult but very useful in as the means of communication as you intend to on twitter. These help will spread your words on twitterverse.

Here is a way to search on Twitter or How twitter search works:

twitter searchcontaining both "twitter" and "search". This is the default operator.
"happy hour"containing the exact phrase "happy hour".
love OR hatecontaining either "love" or "hate" (or both).
beer -rootcontaining "beer" but not "root".
#haikucontaining the hashtag "haiku".

So, you can use these tricks and tips to make you tweets on top of twitter world. As this is not a document provided by twitter but by a analysis of the tweets used in analysis, these depends on tweets used in analysis, methods used in analysis and who collected data.

  • Using these words in tweet better your chance of getting retweet:
    ‘you,’ ‘twitter,’ ‘please,’ ‘retweets,’ ‘post,’ ‘blog,’ ‘social,’ ‘free,’ ‘media,’ ‘help,’ ‘please retweet,’ ‘great,’ ‘social media,’ ‘10,’ ‘follow,’ ‘how', 'to,’ ‘top,’ ‘blog post,’ ‘check out,’ and ‘new blog post.’
  • Include a link in your tweet.
  • Write entertainment tweets for women, opinion tweets for men
  • Avoid the self-reference
  • Use colons, not semicolons
  • Ask for it, what? Ask for retweet, if you want. It works. But do not over use it.
  • LIWC (Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count) analysis shows that Tweets about work, religion, money and media/celebrities are significantly more retweetable than tweets with negative emotions, sensations,swear words and self-reference.
