Saurabh Mukherjea of Ambit Capital suggests us stock investment themes for next few years

I would go for the savings theme because in the savings theme I do see at least a couple of plays where they have built a moat, a brand, distribution system. They have built a faith amongst investors, amongst the investing public that I as a broker or an asset manager will take your money and keep it safe.

The savings theme will produce plenty of winners. Some of them are listed. I think as we know there will be more life insurance IPOs in the years ahead, there will be some asset management IPOs in the years ahead, so look for listed brokers, wealth managers, asset managers, good life insurers who can give you a ride on what I think will be the defining mega theme of the next 10 years. The last 10-20 years was about lenders, the next 10-20 years in India will be about companies which offer high quality savings solutions for the middle class and for the high net worth investors.

Saurabh Mukherjea of Ambit Capital is a well known name in stock market for fundamentally speaking about economy. He has suggested three themes to chase for few years.

1) Investment and saving,
2) Upper middle class will drive real consumption story. So, branded products and things upper middle class can consume and like to consume will be in focus and can deliver growth,
3) Formalization of Indian economy. Black money will come out from sectors and one by one each sectors will be formalized.

Three stock themes that will make money in next 3-4 years: Saurabh Mukherjea, Ambit Capital
