1 Billion in Crore?

We Indian are accustomed in Indian numbering system but in English dailies and at other places we need to face Million and Billion. So, how do you remember those numbering systems and how do you co-relate Indian number system with that of English system?

Here is ready reckoner just in case you lost your learning.

एक = 1,
दस = 10,
सौ = 100,
हज़ार = 1000,
दस हज़ार = 10, 000,
लाख = 1,00,000,
दस लाख = 10,00,000 = 10^6 = 1 Million,

करोड़ = 1,00,00,000,
दस करोड़ = 10,00,00,000,

अरब = 1,00,00,00,000 = 10^9 = 1 Billion,
दस अरब = 10,00,00,00,000,

खरब = 1,00,00,00,00,000 = 10^ 11,
दस खरब = 10,00,00,00,00,000 = 10^ 12,

नील = 10^13,
दस नील = 10^14,

पद्म = 10^15,
दस पद्म = 10^16,

शंख = 10^17,
गुलशन = 10^18,

महाशंख = 10^19.
